FloX was developed based on the observation that many women use air straighteners as a substitute for hair dryers when styling wet hair. This behavior often leads to inefficiency, as users switch between multiple tools, extend styling time, and expose hair to repeated heat. Existing products treat drying and straightening as separate processes, despite their frequent overlap in real use.

FloX integrates a hair dryer and an air straightener into a single device, allowing wet hair to be dried and straightened simultaneously. Instead of heated plates, the system relies on controlled airflow combined with temperature and humidity sensing to manage the styling process. By responding to the changing condition of the hair in real time, FloX reduces unnecessary heat exposure while maintaining consistent results.

By consolidating two tools into one system, FloX reduces redundant steps in daily hair care and shortens overall styling time. The project focuses on improving efficiency and usability within existing habits, rather than introducing new behaviors, providing a practical solution for everyday hair styling.
